Intellectual Property Protection Policy
How we protect your designs, drawings, and proprietary data throughout the manufacturing engagement.
1. NDA Coverage
We sign bilateral NDAs on request before any technical data is shared. Our standard NDA covers all design files, drawings, specifications, sample parts, pricing, and production volumes. We also accept customer-provided NDAs if your legal team has a preferred template.
2. Data Handling
All digital files are stored on encrypted servers with role-based access control. Only the project engineer, quality inspector, and machine operator working on your job have access. Files are automatically purged 90 days after final shipment unless you request longer retention.
Physical drawings and inspection reports are kept in a locked document room. Destroyed via cross-cut shredding after the retention period.
3. File Security During Transfer
Our RFQ portal uses HTTPS with TLS 1.3. STEP files and drawings are encrypted in transit. We do not store credit card information, passwords, or credentials.
4. Staff Confidentiality
Every employee signs a confidentiality agreement as a condition of employment. Annual training covers IP protection, data handling, and export control compliance (ITAR, EAR).
5. Your Rights
- You retain full ownership of all designs and intellectual property.
- We do not reverse-engineer, replicate, or use your designs for other customers.
- You may request a data destruction certificate at any time.
- You may audit our IP protection procedures on-site with 14 days notice.
6. Export Control Compliance
For defence-related work we follow ITAR-compliant data handling procedures: defence drawings are stored on physically isolated servers, access is restricted to staff who have completed US export control training, and any transfer of controlled technical data is logged and reviewed. Registration status and compliance scope can be verified under NDA — ask our compliance team and we will walk you through exactly what we can and cannot hold.
7. Infringement Prevention
We maintain a do-not-copy database of customer-specific designs that cannot be quoted or produced for any other party. This database is reviewed quarterly and survives contract termination.
