About PrecisionIndParts
A CNC machining and contract manufacturing shop in Xi’an, China — selling directly to engineering teams in the US, Europe and the Middle East since 2005.
Company Overview
PrecisionIndParts is a privately owned precision machining company in Xi'an, Shaanxi — in the Northwest High-Tech Manufacturing Hub. We machine, fabricate, cast and assemble parts for aerospace, automotive, medical, defence and industrial customers in 15 countries. Certifications: ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, IATF 16949, NADCAP for NDT and heat treat.
The facility is 3,500 sqm with 40+ CNC machines — DMG MORI 5-axis, Mazak 4-axis, Haas 3-axis, plus turning, laser cutting, press brakes and die casting. The metrology lab next to the shop floor runs two Zeiss CMMs. About 85 people work here: machinists, programmers, quality inspectors, and a small engineering team that handles quoting and DFM.
We have delivered over 12,500 projects since 2005, with a 98.7% on-time rate over the last 12 months and a first-article pass rate above 96%. Those numbers come from our ERP, not from a brochure.

Company Timeline
Started with 2 CNC milling machines in a 400 sqm rented workshop in Xi’an. Three people: the founder, a machinist and one apprentice.
Grew to 8 machines and took on our first export orders through a German trading partner. Learned the hard way what documentation European buyers expect.
ISO 9001:2008 certification. Moved to a 1,800 sqm unit and bought our first CMM. Quality went from “we check it” to “we can prove it”.
AS9100C certification. Started supplying aerospace parts through Tier 1 partners. Registered for ITAR compliance the same year.
Added two DMG MORI 5-axis machines. Facility expanded to 3,500 sqm. IATF 16949 certification followed the automotive work.
NADCAP accreditation for NDT and heat treat. 40+ CNC machines across three shifts, roughly 85 people on the payroll.
ISO 9001:2015 recertified. Over 12,500 projects delivered to 15 countries. Still a private company — no investors to answer to, no shortcut pressure.
Online RFQ system with direct engineer review. ERP and shop-floor tracking connected, so customers get realistic lead times instead of promises.

How We Control Quality
Design Review & DFM
Before we quote, an engineer goes through your CAD and checks it the way we check our own jobs: where the tolerance is tight for no reason, where a chamfer saves a broken tool, where a standard bore diameter would cut cost. You get those notes in writing, with the quote.
Process Planning & FMEA
We decide the machine, the tooling and the order of operations before the job starts. For critical features we write a process FMEA — what can go wrong, how likely, and what we check to catch it. This is where most of our quality is decided.
In-Process Inspection
Parts get measured at defined intervals, not just at the end. Critical dimensions go to the CMM while the batch is still running — if something drifts, we catch it on the third part, not the three hundredth.
Final Inspection & Shipment
Every shipment includes the CoC, the mill certificate, the CMM report and surface finish readings. Aerospace and defence orders get an AS9102 FAI. If a document is missing, the parts do not leave the building.

Direct Engineering Partner vs. Automated Platforms
| Factor | Xometry / RapidDirect | PrecisionIndParts |
|---|---|---|
| Engineering Support | Chat bot / ticket system | Direct engineer contact — same person every time |
| DFM Feedback | Automated generic suggestions | Specific recommendations from experienced machinists |
| Complex Parts | Algorithm rejects or overprices | 5-axis DMG MORI, ±0.005mm, thin walls accepted |
| Low Volume | High minimums ($500+) | 1 piece accepted. No minimum order value. |
| Communication | Platform-mediated, slow | Direct WhatsApp, email, or phone within hours |
| Quality Docs | Varies per supplier | CMM report, material certs, CoC every order |
| Certifications | Network-dependent | ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, IATF 16949, NADCAP in-house |

Who You Will Talk To
Liang Guo
Applications Engineer
14 years, aerospace & 5-axis
Reviews every incoming RFQ. Writes the DFM notes you see on quotes. English-speaking, replies within a business day.
Xiaofeng Li
Quality Manager
12 years, ISO/AS9100
Runs the CMM lab and the calibration system. Signs the CoC. If it leaves the building, he has measured it or knows who did.
Wei Zhang
Lead CNC Programmer
15 years CAM
Programmes the DMG MORI 5-axis work. Titanium and Inconel are his daily material. If a geometry is borderline, he will tell you before you pay for it.
Hong Lin
Production Manager
18 years on the shop floor
Schedules the machines and owns the delivery dates. When he says a job ships on Friday, it ships on Friday.
